DIGITAL ROC restores the color of faded images Negatives and prints tend to color-fade with time producing reddish or bluish tint. Photos taken in certain light such as tungsten or fluorescent, cast a yellowish or whitish color over the image. ASF’s Digital ROC plug-in will mesmerize you with its capability to automatically restore the color of images that suffer from color-fading or light casting. Derived from the core of ASF’s industry-recognized film-scanner integrated Digital ROC technology, the Digital ROC plug-in follows its heritage of fast, automatic, and cost effective functionality. Whether you are an amateur or professional photographer, Digital ROC plug-in will significantly improve your images in need of color-restoration, over/under exposure correction, or light cast removal.
Digital ROC automatically restores color quality to digital images regardless of the condition of the original. Digital ROC's proprietary algorithms analyze the color gradients and determine the optimum tonal curve for each color channel to remove the color cast from faded images and effects of tungsten and fluorescent lighting. Digital ROC will also restore pleasing density and contrast to black and white pictures, (Black and white originals must be scanned in RGB color mode).

DIGITAL ROC is a plug-in, which means it is an add-on that makes your image editing program more powerful, similar to the way a turbocharger enhances a car engine. Adobe has created a set of rules that allows plug-ins to work with any image editing program that follows them, so the DIGITAL ROC Plug-In can work with many programs other than Photoshop.
The DIGITAL ROC Plug-In works on almost any 8 bpp (bits per pixel) RGB image you can open in your image editor. If you have images in other formats, you can use your program to convert them to 8 bpp RGB mode before running the DIGITAL ROC Plug-In, then convert them back afterwards. The DIGITAL ROC Plug-In works with non-rectangular selections and layers, if your image editor supports them. The DIGITAL ROC Plug-In will work in scripts if your imaging application supports Photoshop style actions
The plug-in has been tested on the following:
Adobe Photoshop 5.0, 5.5, 6.0, 7.0
Adobe Photoshop Elements 1.0, 2.0
Adobe Photoshop LE 5.0
Adobe PhotoDeluxe Home Edition 4.0, 4.1
