Recabinet is the ultimate speaker cabinet simulator, launched in 2008 as the most comprehensive speaker cabinet impulse response library on the market. Since then, it has become a secret weapon of major artists and producers such as Steve Stevens, Vernon Reid, Devildriver, and Ill Niño.
In 2011, Recabinet 3 was released as an audio FX plugin for VST, AU, and RTAS formats for Mac OS X and Windows. It offers 20 virtual cabinets, 8 virtual mics, and 2 internal channels with the British-inspired Kazrog Konsole EQ, specifically voiced for making guitar and bass tracks come alive. Best of all, you can blend any cabinet and microphone/position combination with 100% phase coherency – breaking the laws of physics!
Recabinet 3 makes it fast and easy to find inspiring new sounds, avoiding the hassle of complex mixer routing and folder navigation associated with impulse response libraries. It also ships with ready-to-rock factory presets, with more on the way from major artists and producers.
Recabinet 3.6.1 – November 19, 2013
Fixed UI glitches that occasionally affected some users.
Fixed intermittent session load silence bug.
Fixed an issue where the internal preset load/save buttons wouldn’t consistently load settings for bypasses and mutes.
Ongoing update support for RTAS format has been officially dropped. Recabinet 3.5.1 is the final version of Recabinet for RTAS format. If you need to run the latest version of Recabinet on a 32 bit Pro Tools system, we recommend using AAX 32 bit in Pro Tools 10.3.7 or higher.
Added support for application sandboxing, to fully support Logic X and GarageBand X.
Fixed an issue where the installer was placing factory presets in the wrong folder. Use the included presets installer to install factory presets.
Fixed an issue where the AAX installer only installed to the 64 bit AAX folder, requiring 32 bit Pro Tools users to manually install to the 32 bit AAX folder. Now the plugin is installed to both folders.
